The Elizabeth Brown House is dedicated to the memory of Elizabeth "Bethy" Brown — a woman whose strength, humility, faith, and recovery changed lives. Raised in the Orchard Park housing development in Boston, Elizabeth overcame immense challenges and became a guiding light for many seeking recovery and a better life.
Bethy lived her recovery with grace, honesty, and compassion. She taught those around her the true meaning of humility, dignity, and perseverance. A devoted mother of five, she gave unconditional support and encouragement to others struggling with addiction, helping many believe recovery was possible.
In 2003, Elizabeth passed away after a year-long battle with lung cancer. Throughout her illness, she remained committed to her sobriety and chose to face the end of her life clean and sober, guided by her faith and personal convictions. Her courage, wisdom, and love continue to inspire everyone connected to this home.
The Elizabeth Brown House exists to honor her legacy by providing a safe, supportive, and recovery-focused environment where women can rebuild their lives with hope, accountability, and community.
